Honeybee Colony Management

Bee Removal Solutions takes extraordinary pride in our honeybee management program. The rescued honeybee colonies are maintained with the same level of care and precision we apply to the removal projects. Our goal is to ensure successful relocation and keep the bees healthy and thriving for years to come.

Our beehive management techniques have evolved substantially since our operations began in 1992. We apply a minimalist, "less-is-more" approach to our beekeeping endeavors. As honeybees have thrived and survived for approximately 14 million years without human assistance, our underlying objective is to allow the bees to exist in their natural state, and without interference to the extent possible.

The colonies we manage are not fed or chemically treated. In the physical sense, we are simply providing a shelter. Our direct interaction with the colonies is centered on:

• Health Inspections

• Space Management

(For Swarm Prevention & Colony Reproduction)

• Winter Preparation

  (Rodent barricade, internal moisture control)

Each subsequent bee season brings with it an opportunity to preserve & protect local honeybee populations. The potential contained within a single beehive is enormous, as a healthy honeybee colony can produce offspring colonies indefinitely. Year after year, our management practices have produced remarkably consistent overwintering results, leading to sustainable reproduction of the colonies we maintain.
